Why fly fishers in Texas pick a dedicated app
Fishbrain's scale is real: 20 million anglers, every species, every state. That breadth means the app is built for the average angler everywhere, not the fly fisher working a specific Texas tailwater. Texas Fly Fishing Journal skips the social feed and the subscription. Instead, it focuses on what a Texas fly angler actually needs. That means live USGS flow data for Texas rivers, TPWD-specific regulations, and verified Texas access points. Its AI tools are trained on the same waters you're fishing.
